Welcome to Grace Church - Plettenberg Bay

Grace Church is a church plant that began with much prayer and planning. Our desire is for God to be glorified through sound Biblical teaching that is rich in doctrine and leads to wholehearted, God-centred worship. We are trusting God to bring His people together to worship, study His Word and live Christ-exalting lives.

Five truths that shape Grace Church - Plettenberg Bay

1The Triune God

There is one living and true God who is an infinite, perfect, sovereign, and all-knowing Spirit. God is one, in essence, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who are each equally deserving worship and obedience. The triune God has revealed Himself in Scripture; all other gods are idols.

We worship Father, Son and Holy Spirit

2The Scriptures

The Bible (Scripture) is God’s written revelation to man. The 66 books of the Bible, given by the Holy Spirit, constitute the plenary (inspired equally in all parts) Word of God. They are verbally inspired in every word, absolutely inerrant in the original documents, infallible, and God-breathed. The Scriptures are sufficient as the rule of faith and practice.

We believe in the sufficiency of Scripture

3Salvation

The Scriptures teach that man, due to his sinful nature, is opposed to God and, therefore, an enemy of God. Due to sin, man is destined for hell, but God, who is rich in mercy, redeems His enemy by the substitutionary sacrifice of His Son. In this redemption, a person’s nature is changed, and they respond in repentance and faith, which is evidenced by the fruit of righteousness.

We believe salvation is by grace alone

4The Church

The Church is a body (number) of believers who gather to worship God and to serve each other with their spiritual gifts. It is the God-ordained meeting of believers for the preaching and teaching of His Word, the practice of Christian ordinances, and the ministering of the saints to one another.

We believe the church is for believers

5Worship

True worship is a response of adoration, praise and thanksgiving to God that is driven by the Word of God. Worship is God centred and undertaken in spirit and truth. It is not driven by emotions but is an expression from the heart of the believer as they interact with God’s truth.

We believe that man is created to worship God

Plett Bible Foundry
Fundamentals of the Faith

The foundry offers informal (free) classes designed to help people study and grow in their understanding of the foundational, saving truths presented in the Bible. Classes are held in person, and they cover lessons found in (FOF) Fundamentals of the Faith.

More Information

Fundamentals of the Faith is absolutely critical for those who are unbelievers looking to explore Biblical truth, those new to the faith or unsure about the basics of the Christian faith. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet with a small group of people and be guided through the truths of the Bible. Michael Dennis
